All joking aside, we weren’t fully aware of the ups and downs of home buying and we are so thankful that we had Monica to support us through the process. Monica is extremely experienced and knowledgeable of the various Long Beach housing districts. She has a history here and so many contacts – in fact she knew many of the agents that were selling the homes we were looking at. You’d be surprised how important that is. In the 2014 – 2015 market, there were several factors we had to consider with our purchase: rising house prices, competitive bidding with multiple offers on every home, the location, school district, size, layout, condition of the home… and somehow through it all Monica was able to find us the perfect house that met our needs. She was relentless in showing us homes, new areas we hadn’t even considered, and followed up with our every question within a couple of hours. When we had construction concerns, she would call one of her many resources to give us an estimate of the amount of work needed so we could make a good judgment call. There were even a few homes that had everything on our ‘needs’ list but for some reason didn’t feel right for us or we couldn't agree on. Monica would repeat her mantra, “You have to do what feels right.” She was beyond patient in our decision making and very honest with her assessment of whether a home would be good for us. We leaned heavily on her when we were confused or uncertain in our decision making. As mentioned earlier, she became a good friend and she felt like a family member by the time we closed on our home.
